Mila Kunis, actress and model of Ukranian origin, took some time at the Oscars to call for support for Ukraine. Kunis is originally from Chernivtsi and has been working with her husband Ashton Kutcher to bring attention to the war.

She said that “One cannot help but be in awe of those who find strength to keep fighting through unimaginable darkness.” Which was followed by a somber moment of silence.

Kunis and Kutcher began their push for support during the Oscars about one week ago. The couple spoke, via video call, with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. Zelensky personally thanked them for raising $35 million in a GoFundMe campaign for humanitarian aid.
