Dekalb County appoints new commissioner

Dekalb County has officially appointed Brandon Donnell as their newest commissioner.
Donnell has been appointed as 3rd District County Commissioner following a nomination and vote at the County Commission’s regular meeting.
Six other community members spoke about their willingness to serve in the 3rd District seat. During a vote, Donnell received the most votes, ten total votes from the committee.
Mayor Matt Adcock swore Donnell into office and he will serve until August 31, 2026.
